The Joint Commission is seeking comments on two new proposed behavioral health care standards:
BHC Standards for Permanent Housing Support Services
TJC has developed new, proposed permanent housing support services standards based on the “housing first” model and aimed at helping individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders or other behavioral health care issues. The new proposed standards would apply to behavioral health care organizations that provide such services; they will not be a requirement that all accredited behavioral health care organizations offer such services.
