The Joint Commission recently released prepublication standards applicable to Hospice organizations that elect to use The Joint Commission deemed status option. The revisions are effective on July 1, 2015 In the StayAlert! Notice published in May 8, 2015 revisions to the Environment of Care (EC) Chapter, the Rights and Responsibilities of the Individual (RI) Chapter and the Medication Management (MM) Chapter were reviewed. Today’s notice reviews the Life Safety (LS) Chapter and the Performance Improvement (PI) Chapter.
